A traditional set plate absolutely eaten during festivals and sacred rituals by the Newars, indigenous to the Kathmandu Valley. 'Samay' means sides, 'Baji' means Chiura (beaten rice). Centered around Chiura, various cold liquor-snack sides like Choila (spicy grilled meat), Bhatmas (black soybeans), and Bara (lentil pancake) are beautifully arranged.
