  • Bread(Pav)
  • Fried snacks(Farsan)
  • Onion

  • Turmeric

Instructions

  1. Simmer sprouted Moong or Moth beans with cumin, turmeric, chili powder, black pepper, cloves, and cinnamon to make 'Usal'.
  2. Prepare an extra spicy red oil sauce (Katta/Rassa) by frying caramelized onions, dried coconut, and ginger in another pot.
  3. Plate Usal, pour plenty of red sauce, top with a heap of commercial fried snacks and raw onions, and serve with buttered buns.
