Instructions
- [For

- Sticks] Ice (block),
- tbsp rose syrup (Rooh Afza),
- tbsp orange syrup,
- tbsp Kala Khatta (sour blackberry/black salt syrup), Chaat Masala/black salt to taste,
- wooden sticks (popsicle sticks).
- On a 40°C+ scorching street, stall vendor shaves a giant ice block 'Gari-gari-gari' with a manual (or electric) retro ice shaver.
- Packs freshly shaved fluffy ice into a small cup, piercing a wooden stick (popsicle stick) in the center.
- Wrapping cup and ice with both hands, tightly grips/compresses ice around the stick with all his might 'Squeeze, Squeeze!', popping it out of the cup (ice popsicle complete).
- Vendor casts magic on that pure white ice chunk. Boldly swirls vibrant bright red 'rose syrup', dazzling yellow 'orange', and pitch-black 'Kala Khatta' syrup possessing unique sour-saltiness until the ice surface is completely dyed.
- To finish, unexpectedly sprinkles black salt and Chaat Masala, serving it placed in a small plastic cup. Sweetness, coldness, and spice sour-saltiness mix chaotically—Indian kids' nostalgia.

Trivia
[Hardcore] Also called 'Chuski'. Unlike Japanese shaved ice enjoying 'fluffiness', Indian style sucks hard-gripped 'crunchy' ice. The biggest highlight is 'Kala Khatta' syrup, adding black salt's intense sulfur odor to blackberry sweetness; a magic syrup with quirks strong enough to warp your face on first drink, but blows away heat instantly.
