Trivia

[Hardcore] 'Medu' means soft, 'Vada' means fried ball. Donut-shaped but completely unsweetened; a spicy savory bread with black pepper bite. In South Indian diners (Dhabas), ordering 'Idli (steamed bread)' and this 'Vada' as a set, eating while getting infinite Sambar refills is perfect manners.

Eating tips & etiquette

[Unique Eating] Finely break Vada submerged in Sambar sea with spoon, coat heavily with cold coconut chutney, shoveling it in at once in a gooey 'Ojiya (porridge)'-like state!

Allergen

Soy (Lentils)
