  9. Put washed yellow Toor Dal (split peas), water, turmeric, salt in pot (or pressure cooker), boiling slowly soft until bean shapes crumble into gooey potage state.
  10. Where beans melt yielding sweetness, add minced tomatoes simmering briefly adding acidity.
