- Northeast Da Jiang(or Sweet bean sauce)
- Soy sauce
- Rock sugar
- Star anise/Cinnamon etc.
Instructions

- Saw massive, meaty pork spine bones into large chunks. Soak in cold water for hours to extract blood, then blanch thoroughly to remove scum.
- Melt rock sugar in oil in a giant pot to create a caramelized 'Tang Se'.
- Stir-fry homemade 'Northeast Da Jiang' (or sweet bean sauce), soy, and dark soy into the caramel to build the base.
- Add a pouch of massive medicinal spices (star anise, cinnamon, black cardamom, cloves), the bones, and plenty of broth.
- Cover and simmer on low for 2-
- hours until the marrow umami seeps out and the meat is falling off the bone.
- Wear plastic gloves, gnaw the meat off, and finally suck the marrow out with a straw.
