  • Atsuage(Thick fried tofu)
  • Glass noodles
  • Minced pork
  • Fish paste
  • Special sweet/spicy sauce

Instructions

  2. [Filling] Rehydrate glass noodles, stir-fry with minced pork, shallots, soy sauce, and five-spice until flavors soak in.
  3. Cut the top off square You Doufu (thick fried tofu), hollow out the inside with a spoon to make a 'pouch'.
  4. Pack the seasoned glass noodles tightly inside the tofu pouch.
  5. Seal the opening completely with fish paste (white fish kneaded with a little garlic and salt) as a lid.
  6. Steam for 15-
  7. mins until the fish paste is cooked and the tofu is fluffy.
  8. Plate, and pour generously with Taiwan's unique 'pink sweet/savory sauce' (boiled down ketchup, thick soy sauce, sugar, miso) and chili sauce.
