  • Celery
  • White pepper
  • Sesame oil
  • Pork bone broth

Instructions

  2. [Yu Wan (Fishball)] Add a little potato starch and water to white fish paste (like shark), pound and knead thoroughly until highly elastic.
  3. Prepare 'Meat Filling' by mixing minced pork with soy sauce, five-spice, sesame oil, and shallots.
  4. Take fish paste, enclose meat filling in the center, shape into the 'rugby ball (almond) shape' unique to Tamsui Yu Wan, and boil (*generally bought at specialty shops).
  5. Boil clear pork (or chicken) bone broth (Qingtang) in a pot.
  6. Add Yu Wan to warm.
  7. Put salt, white pepper, sesame oil, and minced celery at the bottom of a bowl.
  8. Pour hot soup and Yu Wan to finish.
