Trivia

[For Women] Originally made as an offering to Penghu gods, its sheer deliciousness made it Penghu's representative souvenir. Similar to Japanese 'Fukuregashi' or 'Brown Sugar Steamed Bread', but added tapioca starch makes its texture closer to 'mochi'.

Eating tips & etiquette

[Unique Eating] Confirm the elasticity bouncing back 'pop' when pressed with a finger, then chew on the rustic brown sugar sweetness! If it hardens over time, reheating in a microwave revives the chewiness.
