- Sweet potato flour
- Garlic
- Scallions
- Pepper salt(Jiao Yan Fen)

- [Feng Yong Sourcing] Prepare fresh bee/wasp pupae (white and soft) harvested in Taiwanese mountains (indigenous villages, etc.).
- Wash pupae gently in salt water, drain thoroughly.
- Dust extremely thinly with 'sweet potato flour (or potato starch)' to improve flavor and texture.
- Heat 180°C+ oil in a wok.
- Drop pupae in oil, fry for a few mins until surface is golden, puffed, and 'crispy'.
- Drain oil, toss the fried pupae into another pan where minced garlic, scallions, and red chilies are sautéed.
- Sprinkle plenty of special pepper salt (Jiao Yan Fen), toss the pan a few times to coat with spices to finish.
