  • He Shou Wu(Herb)
  • Bone-in chicken
  • Ginger
  • Rice wine
  • Salt

Instructions

  2. Prepare a herb pack of He Shou Wu, Dong Quai, Shu Di, goji, dates (sold in supers as He Shou Wu soup base).
  3. Parboil bone-in chicken (remove skin to reduce fat), wash off scum.
  4. Put water, herb pack, chicken, ginger slices in a pot, heat on high.
  5. Once boiling, simmer on low for 1-
  6. hrs until soup is pitch-black and chicken is tender.
  7. Season with salt and a little rice wine.
