- Spread piping hot 'sticky rice (white or purple Nuomi)' steamed in a wooden barrel thin and square on a clean cloth (or wrap).
- Lay fried Taiwan dried daikon (Caipu) and pickled greens (Suan Cai).
- Top heavily with sweet 'Rousong (pork floss)'.
- Place half a Taiwan braised egg (Lu Dan) and crispy 'Lao Youtiao (twice-fried hard dough)' in the center.
- Stack a 'soft fried egg' on top.
- Using the cloth, powerfully squeeze and mold into a giant barrel shape while pushing ingredients in to finish.
