Instructions

  1. Blanch vine leaves until soft. Heat olive oil and sauté onions and pine nuts. Add washed raw rice, then mix in currants, dried mint, cinnamon, allspice, dill, salt, and a pinch of sugar. Add water and par-cook the rice. Spread a leaf, place filling in the center, fold in sides, and roll tightly like a thin cigar. Arrange in a pot, simmer with olive oil and lemon juice, and chill in the fridge.
