- Wash peeled dried fava beans soaked overnight well.
- Heat plenty of olive oil in a pot, sauté roughly chopped onions until translucent. Add fava beans, water, a pinch of sugar, and salt, simmering on low until the beans completely dissolve into mush.
- Finally, add plenty of fresh chopped dill and blend into a very smooth puree with a hand blender. Pour into a flat glass container and chill overnight to set. Cut into squares, top with sliced red onions and dill, and serve drizzled with olive oil.
