Trivia

[Trivia] Legend says when the Prophet Muhammad entered Medina, local believers welcomed him by making this round bread. Thus, to the Hui, You Xiang is not just food; it is treated with extreme reverence as a 'symbol of faith, peace, and unity'.

Eating tips & etiquette

[Unique Eating] Tear it by hand and eat it plain; the gentle sweetness of wheat and rich oil spreads in your mouth. Tearing it into hot soups like 'Yang Za Sui' (Mutton offal soup) and letting it absorb the broth before eating is also phenomenally delicious.
