Trivia
[Hardcore] If 'Basmati' is the feast rice for special occasions like Biryani, 'Sona Masuri' is the daily rice. Extremely light and not heavy on the stomach, allowing South Indians to easily demolish unbelievably massive rice mountains.

[Unique Eating] Make a small 'crater (indentation)' with fingers in the Sona Masuri rice mountain served on a banana leaf, pour lentil soup (Dal) and Ghee into it, then knead messily with the right hand and toss into the mouth!
