Substitutes at Japanese supermarkets

Metal whisk (whipper) or electric hand mixer (function is completely subbable)

Pairing

Lassi, Chaas (Buttermilk), White butter (Safed Makhan) making

Trivia

[Hardcore] Even in modern times when electric mixers do it in seconds, stubborn Lassi shops/homes in Punjab keep using this wooden stick saying 'real taste won't emerge without Madhani'. This centrifugal force is also deemed indispensable when separating/extracting homemade 'white butter (Makhan)' from milk fat.

Eating tips & etiquette

[Unique Usage] Instead of a cold electric mixer rotation, primitively rotate the stick by rubbing palms together like starting a fire, injecting your own energy into the Lassi!
