  1. Since Horse Gram (Kulthi) is very hard, soak in water overnight (12+ hours).
  2. Boil longer in pressure cooker with turmeric/salt until crushable by fingers.
  3. Without discarding the boiling liquid, boil it down with tamarind, black pepper, cumin, garlic into the intensely spicy, sour South Indian medicinal soup 'Kulthi Rasam (Horse Gram Rasam)' to drink.
